Parish Nurse Ministry
The Parish Nurse Ministry of Grace Lutheran Church in promoting wellness, explores the interrelationship of the physical, emotional, and interpersonal, social and spiritual aspects of our parish community.
The Parish Nurses, in connection with the members of the Health Cabinet work to promote wellness within our church community by education, consultation, presence and prayer. Monthly blood pressure checks, newsworthy items and the regular distribution of prayer shawls are only part of the work done by these dedicated individuals. A quarterly Healing Prayer Service welcomes members, friends and guests for prayer, a brief message and the anointing of oil.
If you have questions or concerns about a health-related issue, the Parish Nurses can help direct you to information and resources that are helpful.

This is a ministry to our homebound members. They are visited monthly, remembered in the weekly church bulletin, and with cards on special occasions. Our purpose is to remind them that they are special in the family of Grace.
Does this sound like something you would like to be a part of? We welcome new volunteers. An informational meeting and a background check are required to be a part of this ministry. We ask for a one year commitment. If you find it in your heart to be a part of this ministry, please contact us.
