The Handbell Ministry of Grace is dedicated to engaging children, youth and adults in the mission of creating beautiful music for God’s glory through handbells well rung. Our goal is to enhance the worship experience of our congregation as well as teach our children to experience and appreciate another avenue of praising God..
The Joyful Praise Ringers are children from 3rd grade through 6th grade. They meet weekly on Sunday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. The focus of our time together is to have a good time interacting and learning to read music. Joyful Praise Ringers must be willing to commit to participation in worship occasionally after they get the hang of ringing and can remember which bell is in which hand!
The Jubilant Ringers are a group of 13 - 14 teens with an extraordinary passion for,and dedication to, bells well rung! Not many folks can resist the infectious energy and charm of these teenagers. Rehearsals are on Sundays from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The Jubilant Ringers enjoy retreats, tours, concerts, workshops, festival conferences and participation in worship services both at home and in other congregations. They are known locally for their many outreach concerts during the year, especially at Christmas. Their most recent international travel experience was to Osaka, Japan for the 13th International Handbell Symposium. The Jubilant Ringers have been featured on the cover of OVERTONES the National Magazine of the Handbell Musicians of America as an example of dedication, commitment and expertise in the art of ringing handbells. The “Jubies” raise most of the money needed for their travels and are blessed with a loving, supportive pastoral staff , congregation and community.
The Resounding Grace Choir consists of college and adult ringers who want the opportunity to get “hooked on handbells” and continue the tradition of our wonderful handbell choirs at Grace Lutheran Church. All members of Resounding Grace are willing to share their music with others and worship in new and meaningful ways. Rehearsals are Mondays from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm.
